Course Description

The Andy Payne Memorial Marathon route is a single out and back run clock wise to the turn points around the lake. The terrain is varied and roads are winding. There will be more tree cover and shelter from the wind than in years past (new course 2013).

Review

Challenging and hilly course! Also, the waterstops were few - and the first other than a very early one for the 5K runners wasn't until nearly 6.5 miles in. However, there were more on the way back, which makes me think some volunteers were slow getting set up. It is small and peaceful - almost a training run. The view of the lake is nice.
