The Coastal Delaware Running Festival Marathon course starts on Tower Road in Delaware Seashore State Park, Dewey Beach. Runners then travel through the town of Rehoboth Beach - spending approximately a mile on the boardwalk.
The course then goes through the Delaware Seashore State Parks' Gordons Pond Wild Life Area, into Cape Henlopen State Park and then back towards the finish on the Junction and Breakwater Trail through Lewes, Rehoboth and Dewey Beach.
The finish of the mostly flat course is at the Hyatt-Lighthouse Cove waterfront complex in Dewey Beach.
The Coastal Delaware Running Festival Marathon was the 118th largest marathon in the U.S. last year and was the 138th largest in 2016.
Last year 11.1% of finishers qualified for the Boston Marathon and 9.5% of runners qualified for Boston in 2016.
