Course Description

The Darlington Marathon course is mostly flat with a small constant uphill slope to about the halfway point followed by a similar small constant downhill slope to the finish. The typically warm and humid weather may negatively impact runners on this otherwise fast course. If the weather is cooler than normal and the humidity is lower, expect fast times.

The race starts at the Darlington Raceway Museum and finishes inside the track at Winners Circle.

This was a pancake flat course. The only hill was near the finish coming thru the tunnel to the track. Lots of farm land and two very long straight a ways. Not a lot to look at.

Race Tips

They had water and powerade about every 2 miles. No food stations until about mile 16.

Logistical Tips (Hotels, Restaurants, Parking, Discounts, etc.)

Make sure you don't have to use the porta potties before the race. They only had 4 toilets at the starting line and none at the finish.
