The Eisenbahn Marathon is an out-and-back course run completely on the Eisbenbahn Trail.
The trail is built on an old railroad bed and comprised of limestone screenings. Runners will start and finish the race with a 1 1/4 mile run on asphalt.
The course is near downtown West Bend, Wisconsin with the start and finish behind the River Shores building. The turnaround for the out-and-back route is in Campbellsport,
The Eisenbahn Marathon was the 544th largest marathon in the U.S. last year and was the 525th largest in 2015.
Last year 34.6% of finishers qualified for the Boston Marathon and 11.8% of runners qualified for Boston in 2015.
This gives the Eisenbahn Marathon the 4th highest percentage of Boston Marathon qualifiers in the U.S. last year and the 135th highest percentage in 2015.
